Gulchehra Jamilova
Gulchehra Mannonovna Jamilova (born July 2, 1946) is an actress and People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1992).
She was born in Tashkent on July 2, 1946. In 1964, she graduated from the Tashkent Choreography College.
Later, in 1968, she graduated from the acting faculty of the Tashkent Theatre and Arts Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky. She was a solo performer in the "Bahor" State Folk Dance Ensemble. From 1966 to 1987, she began her career as an actress at the Hamza State Academic Drama Theatre of Uzbekistan. From 1987 to 1991, she served at the State Drama Theatre of Uzbekistan. In 1991, she returned to the Hamza Uzbek Academic Drama Theatre. Gulchehra Jamilova began her film career in 1962.
She first played the role of Shohsanam's friend in the film "Shohsanam va Garib". In 1966, she played a role in the theatrical production of "Two Gentlemen of Verona". She also performed in many other productions, including "Qonli sarob" (Bloody Mirage), "Oltin devor" (Golden Wall), "Zebuniso", "Nodirabegim", "Boy ila xizmatchi" (The Rich Man and the Servant), and others.
In 1968, she played the role of Kumush in the film based on A. Qodiriy's novel "O'tgan kunlar" (Days Gone By).
